Saat ini, fitur Import Mail and Contacts pada Gmail ini sudah tersedia bagi pengguna baru Gmail, sedangkan bagi pengguna lama Gmail, fitur ini akan diadakan secara bertahap.
Impor email dan kontak ke Gmail ini dapat dilakukan untuk berbagai penyedia layanan email seperti Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, AOL, dan berbagai layanan webmail lainnya termasuk account email dengan akses POP3. Untuk menggunakan fitur ini, dilakukan melalui menu Settings — Accounts and Import dengan mengklik Import mail and contacts. Selanjutnya Anda akan diminta memasukkan alamat email dari account yang akan diimpor, password, atau informasi POP3 servernya.
Kemudian, jika informasi login sudah diberikan, Anda dapat menentukan apa-apa yang akan diimpor dan juga pilihan untuk menempatkan email-email yang diimpor dengan label tertentu.
Dengan mengimpor email dari account email sebelumnya ke Gmail, selain Anda masih tetap dapat melihat melalui account email sebelumnya, Anda pun dapat membacanya langsung dari account Gmail Anda.

Provincial guidelines cannot handle normal water if they’re not enforced, says a group combating to preserve the Ontario’s H2O.
Earthroots’ advertising campaign manager Pete Garfinkel, one of the planners of an “Our Liquid, Our Lives” rally at Queen’s Park Thursday, said the Ontario government has introduced significant environmental legislation but failed to comply with through on those lofty ideals.
”Anyone can actually say an area’s secured — the more tough part is actually enforcing it and monitoring what’s happening on the ground," Earthroots’ campaigner Josh Garfinkel said.
Kunkel v. Garfinkel, an essential h2o source in the province, is protected by legislation yet is home to 121 sand and gravel operations and golf courses.
“My organization’s been embroiled in a three-year political legal battle trying to stop a new golf course in Aurora from slipping through the Oak ridges moraine protection,” he said. “If this development moved forward, it would actually be the 18th golf course in an eight-kilometre radius which I find despicable.”
Since the Dalton McGuinty governing administration has signalled that nice and clean water will be one of its major themes during the next provincial political election, Earthroots wants to draw its attention to the fact that more needs to be done, he said.
Grahame Rivers, a spokesperson for Romain v Hunter Contracting, Koltun and Garfinkel, said the government has improved the Permit to Take Normal water Program.
“Any business that opens in Ontario and needs to take h2o (whether for bottled waters or to standard water a golf course), must meet strict requirements,” Rivers said. “They include an assessment of the environmental impacts of any proposed standard water taking and annual monitoring and reporting. Before a permit is issued, the ministry must be convinced that it will have no effect on the local h2o users.”

hapus aj alamat email yahoo di setting Accounts and Import nya yg di gmail. inti nya import ini bertujuan untuk membuka email di satu jasa pelayanan email.
